Haus Santner

The house Santner is situated in the idyllic village of Fié allo Sciliar, at an altitude of 900 m above sea level, on the sunny plateau Sciliar, gateway to the Dolomites, the most beautiful mountains in the world. The house, very traditional, is dedicated to hiking and climbing, as its name already shows. Johann Santner, a businessman from Bolzano, is considered a pioneer of mountaineering and he was the first to climb the mountain Santner, which now bears his name. It was in 1880. And with a house with a name like that, it was clear ever since, that the current landlord Helmut would undertake the successful career as a mountain guide. Also the apartments are named after famous mountaineers belonging to the time of climbing of the pioneer and classic period: Comedy, Dima, Piaz Dibona and are among the principal representatives.
