Alpe di Siusi is a well known tourist destination and desired thanks to its unspoilt nature, fresh air, the typical food and the naturalness of the people.
But not only ... in the field of folk music, Alpe di Siusi, or more specifically the town of Castelrotto, is famous for the popular music group "Kastelruther Spatzen".
This group was founded in the early 80s and consists currently of seven members. This tyrolean men sing in german language and are very well known in the german-speaking countries such as Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
Their music is about themes as love for the mountains, nature, longing for the homeland and love itself. The singer Norbert Rier told in various interviews that the mountains have always been source of great energy, strength and courage for the career of the group of Castelrotto.
The group has received countless gold and platinum - records and other important awards in Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
In 2009 they celebrated their 25th anniversary of music history and there is no end in sight to this success story!
